Each The Alternative Board Facilitator is an experienced business person who has successfully completed the TAB Facilitator Training Program. Most facilitators run or have run their own businesses. The TAB Facilitator guides the group discussions without dominating the meetings and encourages all members to express their views while keeping the discussion on track. They also ensure problem solving ideas are generated and the meeting does not become a gripe session.
John Hyman has over thirty years of sales/marketing and operations experience, mostly in management and senior management positions. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of the consumer retail industry and has demonstrated the ability to generate revenues, control expense, improve efficiency, utilize technology, and motivate and manage people, increasing profitability.
John has been involved in business transformations, brand resurrections, and sales team development. He has prospected and successfully developed business with stores ranging from Wal-Mart, JCPenney, and Macy’s to hundreds of small privately held specialty retailers. He has also held senior executive positions in product development, sales, and marketing for both publicly traded and privately owned companies.
Most recently he served as Director of Business Development for The NPD Group, a well known global market research firm.
