Each The Alternative Board Facilitator is an experienced business person who has successfully completed the TAB Facilitator Training Program. Most facilitators run or have run their own businesses. The TAB Facilitator guides the group discussions without dominating the meetings and encourages all members to express their views while keeping the discussion on track. They also ensure problem solving ideas are generated and the meeting does not become a gripe session.
Marcy Turkington is President of Achive Business Solutions, www.AchieveNextLevel.com an independent consulting and management support firm servicing Northwestern New Jersey and Monroe County Pennsylvania. The company specializes in providing Operations, Strategy, Marketing and Financial Management support for small to mid-sized businesses. Prior to forming Achieve, Ms. Turkington was responsible for leading Operations for PeopleSoft’s Global Support Services line of business. During her tenure there, revenues grew from $640mm to $1.3bb annually.
In addition to bringing more than 20 years of executive management experience to area businesses, Ms. Turkington is the only consultant in the area to provide support end to end from Strategic Planning through Operational execution and deployment. Her ability to see the big picture while focusing on results helps businesses succeed by continually improving while taking advantage of new markets and opportunities.
Her prior Industry experience includes High Technology, Financial Services, Construction, Not-for-Profits and Local and State Government and her expertise spans the following functional areas: loyalty, strategic planning, employee development, data strategies, process and systems redesign and implementation, risk mitigation, mergers & acquisitions, global expansion and sales & marketing.
Ms. Turkington is a member of ITSMA, PeopleSoft Alumni Network, Sussex and Warren, NJ and Pocono Mountain Chambers of Commerce and is a Small Business Association SCORE counselor. She has received numerous awards, including PeopleSoft and ICI Leadership and Outstanding Contributor awards, sits on the board of the New Sussex Symphony, is the only Leadership eSeminar Provider for the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce and received the 2008 County Economic Development’s Excellence in Education Leadership nomination for her work with area employers.
Ms. Turkington has dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Music, and is a TAB-certified Facilitator and certified Strategic Business Leadership coach.
